iCentera & Hoffman Marketing Communications Form Strategic Alliance

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. October 18, 2004—iCentera, the leading provider of intelligence centers for Marketing and Sales Effectiveness (MSE), and Hoffman Marketing Communications, Inc., today announced a strategic alliance. Hoffman Marketing Communications ("Hoffman") provides strategic B2B writing services to enterprises that incorporate technology into their solutions. Their clients include SAP, Symantec, HP, Cisco, TIBCO Software, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and others. Implementable within 24 hours, the iCentera icSuite delivers a completely hosted marketing and sales intelligence center that provides advanced content management, custom portal creation, and real-time content and portal analytics.

"There are two main elements to marketing communications and sales materials: the documents themselves, and the effective use and delivery of those documents," explains Steve Hoffman, President and CEO of Hoffman Marketing Communications. "This strategic alliance makes sense because Hoffman provides the documents and iCentera provides the delivery mechanism, thus providing a more complete solution."

Hoffman will leverage the icSuite in two distinct ways. First, they will use the icIntelligence Center as an internal portal for employees and contractors. This allows Hoffman to provide information such as human resources updates (e.g., changes to employee benefits), company guidelines (e.g., style guides), and corporate marketing and business development materials (e.g., their brochure and samples). The second key application involves client portals. Hoffman will initially use icPortals to exchange large files that cannot be efficiently transferred via email. Soon thereafter, they will expand the role of these client portals to help Hoffman account representatives work more effectively with existing clients. For example, by placing new marketing materials on the portal, they can keep clients informed about their capabilities.

"Like all successful strategic alliances, the relationship between Hoffman and iCentera is mutually beneficial," explains Craig Nelson, President and CEO of iCentera. "By exposing Hoffman clients to the iCentera solution, we gain additional potential clients. At the same time, Hoffman becomes an adopter of a powerful collaborative solution to enhance their communication and business development with their clients."
